REMEMBER: Vaseline like mineral oil is made from refined crude oil. Just like what you put in your car! It acts as a barrier between your skin and the outer elements: wind, dirt, pollutions, etc... However, it is NOT an anti-aging product in fact it will age you faster. Let me explain; When you put either of these two ingredients on your face or body, it acts like a glove. It does do the the job of keeping out the outer elements pretty good. (That's why doctors tell moms to use on diaper area of babies.) But keep in mind that your skin is one of your largest organs to rid itself of toxins. If nothing is getting in, then nothing is getting out either! You body is supposed to perspire and rid itself of toxins we have ingested, digested and breathed in. If the toxins can't get out, then they go more inward to the body. That is not good! Also, the molecular structure of mineral oil and Vaseline cannot penetrate beyond the first layer of skin. So it has not moisturising affect either. 

• A dab could be used on eyebrows to tame them.
• Avoid splattered paint on windows, metal work, and floors. Before painting a room, dip a Cotton Swab in Vaseline Petroleum Jelly and run it around the edges of the glass; coat door hinges, doorknobs, lock latches; and spread a thin coat of Vaseline Petroleum Jelly along a linoleum or tile floor (obviously not carpet) where it meets the wall. Paint smears will wipe off with a cloth.

Use a small amount on the heels and my elbows and knees every now and then , so yes I think I would say the same , now that i know is also used for cuts!!!
• Use regularly to reduce the appearance of fine lines.
• Vaseline is great for chapped lips and skin not to mention chaffing. If you apply it around your hairline when you are colouring your hair, it prevents the dye from staining your skin.
