VALENTINE'S DAY
 
For Sweethearts and lovers there is Valentine's Day
To say that, "I love you", in a most special way
With flowers, candy, and cards saying, "I care,"
I reached into my pockets, but my pockets were bare
If I could slide down a rainbow, to a pot of gold
And, have all the treasures my pockets could hold
I'd buy you a dream you could hold on to
I'd buy you an Angel to watch over you
With all the things my treasures could buy
I'd buy a smile for your face and a wink for your eye
I'd buy you a star that you could wish on
I'd buy you the clouds, the wind, and the sun
If I had fortune and wealth untold
If my pockets were lined suddenly with gold
I'd buy you the world and place at your feet
I'd buy you an echo so your song could repeat
But all that I have I will offer to you
My love and a promise, I'll always be true
A heart that beats to the sound of your name
For faithful and true, I will always remain
I'll give you my heart, if you give me your hand
With three little words and a gold wedding band
I will have found my rainbow and pot of gold
I'd be far richer than my dreams could behold
If you'll be my Valentine, I will promise you this
A hug each night and to awake with a kiss
To be by your side every step of life's way

What is Love?
 
 Love is .. a rainbow, right after the rain,
 That hugs the sky, no two colours the same.
 Love is .. a child, who cries out in the night.
 Love is .. a mother who comforts their fright.
 Love is .. an angel, who brightens our days,
 In so many mystical, wonderful ways.
 Love is .. the ocean, whose waves kiss the shore.
 Love is .. the dew, on a crisp summer's morn'.
 Love is .. a father, with strong hands to provide.
 Love is .. the woman who stands by his side.
 Love is .. a dove, flying high in the sky.
 Love is .. wiping a tear from your best friends eye.
 Love is .. sharing your feelings, with ones you hold dear.
 Love is .. caring for people, both far and near.
 Love is .. cradling someone, whose heart's full of sorrow.
 Love is.. belief, in a brighter tomorrow.
 Love is .. being honest in all that you do.
 Love is .. strength from your friends, who never leave you.
 Love is .. a bridge, between two lonely hearts,
 Love is.. doesn't judge distance, no matter how far apart.
 Love is .. a prayer, from the heart of a man.
 Love is .. an answer, from God's Holy hand.
 Love is .. the moonlight, shining on you.
 Love is .. the sunshine, in a sky so blue.
 Love is .. the wind, caressing the trees.
 Love is .. the light in my eyes that you see.
 Love is .. a flower born in the spring,
 Love is .. a bird, soaring high, with spread wings.
 Love is .. my friends, always there, and so true.
 Love is .. what I think of, when I think of you.
YOU'RE IN LOVE
 
So, You are in love and feeling so grand
But, there are a few things you should understand
Love goes much deeper than just feeling great
There are virtues to look for when finding a mate
If faith and respect in each other you share
You'll know that the other will always be there
The foundation is trust, so build it strong
It's your shelter from storms, as they come along
That one special love, that understands when your down
The one you can count on when you're not around
Will they bring pride to your family name?
Or, cause you to hang your head in shame
As your love grows, you will soon see
That loyalty and respect comes so easily
For love by it's self is never enough
It won't keep you together when times get rough
Remember the children, you may bring to this life
Before picking a husband or taking a wife
The person they become will depend on you
For your child will be raised with their point of view
A child is an extension of you and another
Would you want this person as a Father or Mother?
So, you say you're in love but before saying I do.
Make sure that it is someone,
Your child can love too!
"WE WERE MEANT TO BE"
 
l feel deep in my heart and soul,
that you and l were meant to be.
Life has it's own way of bringing two people together, and l believe that is what happened, with you and me.
Destiny brought us together, to share in such a beautiful love.
A love more great than l have ever before known, that truly is a precious gift to me, from the Lord above.
Every word that is spoken, l feel so deeply in my heart.
Your words remain within me always, and warm my heart and soul, when we are apart.
Every touch that l have felt, has let me know just how much you have cared.
l remember every tender moment we have spent together, and everything beautiful, we have shared.
No other love has ever filled me so completely, as the love that l have found with you.
A love of this kind, and so very deep, is found in a lifetime, by only a very few.
You have touched my life, in more ways than you could ever know.
l love you more than words could ever possibly say, and so very much more, than l could ever show.

 

"DON'T SHUT YOURSELF OFF"
 
When you are feeling lost and are hurting,
don't shut out those who you love.
As more than anyone else they want to be there, to help you again rise above.
You feel you don't want to worry them, so you want to handle it on your own.
But what you don't seem to realise, it hurts more, for them to watch you trying to handle it alone.
The people who love you want to be your strength, at times when you need it the most.
So don't pull away and shut yourself off, as their hearts will never "see" you, as just a ghost.
You would want to be there for them also, if you knew that they were in great pain.
You must remember that love goes both ways, and understand that they want to do the same.
So reach out to the people who you love, and share what you are feeling in your heart.
Let their love comfort you in your time of need, rather than being alone, and having your pain, tear you apart.

Separated by much land and sea.
But at night when we look into the dark sky, The same stars twinkle down, at you and me.
They shine down on us to remind us.
That we are not really that far apart.
As no matter how far away from one another, We both share their beauty inside our heart.
The sharing of the stars brings us close.

LOVE DOESN'T ASK WHY Love doesn't ask why. It speaks from the heart. And never explains. Don't you know that. Love doesn't think twice. It can come all at once.
