TODAY I SMILED

 

Today I smiled, and all at once

Things didn't look so bad.

 

Today I shared with someone else,

A bit of hope I had.

 

Today I sang a little song,

And felt my heart grow light,

And walked a happy little mile,

With not a cloud in sight.

 

Today I worked with what I had

And longed for nothing more,

And what had seemed like only weeds,

Were flowers at my door.

 

Today I loved a little more

And complained a little less,

And in the giving of myself,

 

I forgot my weariness.

 

People come into your life for a reason, a season, or a lifetime. When you figure out which it is, you know exactly what to do. 

When someone is in your life for a REASON, it is usually to meet a need that you have expressed outwardly or inwardly. They have come to assist you through a difficulty, to provide you with guidance and support, to aid you physically, emotionally, or spiritually. They may seem like a godsend,

and they are. They are there for the reason, you need them to be. Then  without any wrongdoing on your part or at an inconvenient time, this person

will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end. Sometimes they die.

Sometimes they walk away. Sometimes they act up or out and force you to take a stand. What we must realise is that our need has been met, our desire

fulfilled  their work is done. The prayer you sent up has been  answered and it is now time to move on. 

When people come into your life for a SEASON, it is because your turn has come to share, grow, or learn. They may bring you an experience of

peace or make you laugh. They may teach you something you have never done. They usually bring you an unbelievable amount of joy. Believe it - It is real But only for a season. 

 

LIFETIME relationships teach you lifetime lessons those things you must build upon in order to have a solid emotional foundation. Your job is

to accept the lesson, love the person/ people (anyway) and put what you have learned to use in all other relationships and areas of your life.  It

is said that love is blind but friendship is clairvoyant.

A GOOD FRIEND

 

There are hugs that say I like you and I hold your friendship dear.

There are hugs that say "good going" you deserve a great big cheer.

There are hugs that say goodbye, good luck in all that lies ahead.

There are hugs that say I love you when no other words are said.

There are hugs that soothe and say to us you're free from cares and harms.

THE GIFT OF FRIENDSHIP

 

Friendship is a priceless gift, that cannot be bought or sold,

but it's value is far great than a mountain made  of gold-

For gold is cold and lifeless, it can neither see nor hear,

it is powerless to cheer- It has no ears to listen, no heart   to understand,

It cannot bring you comfort, or reach out a helping hand-

so when you ask God for a gift,

be thankful if he sends not diamonds, pearls, or riches,

Take a cup of kindness mix it well  with love

And a lot of patience and faith in God above

Sprinkle very generously with joy and thanks and cheer-

And you'll have lots of "angel food" to feast on all the year.

 

 

A warm, ready smile or a kind, thoughtful deed

Or   an hand outstretched in an hour of need

Can change our whole outlook and make the world bright

Where a minute before just nothing seemed right-

It's a   wonderful world, and it focused to see

The wonderful  things we are capable of

When we open our hearts  to God everlasting love.

 

 

Kindness is a virtue, Given by the Lord

It pays dividends in happiness, in all you say and do,

The Lord will wrap his kindness, around your heart and you.

And wrapped within His kindness you are sheltered and secure,

And under his Direction, your ways is safe and sure.

 

 

Truly great friends are hard to find,

Difficult to leave and impossible to forget.

 

 

A good friend see what we were,

And see what we can be.

 

 

A little girl without freckles,

True friendship is like sound health

Dear Friend:

 

I've learned that if someone says something unkind about me,

I must live so that no one will believe it.

 

I've learned that you can make someone's day by simply sending

them a little note.

 

I've learned that the greater a person's sense of guilt, the greater

his or her need to cast blame on others.

 

I've learned that no matter what happens, or how bad it seems

today, life does go on, and it will be better tomorrow.

 

I've learned that hotel mattresses are better on the side away

from the phone.

 

I've learned that you can tell a lot about a man by the way he

handles three things: a rainy day, lost luggage and tangled

Christmas tree lights.

 

I've learned that regardless of your relationship with your parents,

you'll miss them when they are gone from your life.

 

I've learned that making a 'living' is not the same thing as making

a 'life'.

 

I've learned that life sometimes gives you a second chance.

 

I've learned that you shouldn't go through life with a catcher's

mitt

on both hands. You need to be able to throw some things back.

 

I've learned that if you pursue happiness, it will elude you. But if

you focus on your family, the needs of others, your work, meeting

new people, and doing the very best you can, happiness will find

you.

 

I've learned that whenever I decide something with kindness, I

usually

make the right decision.

 

I've learned that even when I have pains, I don't have to be one.

 

I've learned that I still have a lot to learn.

 

I've learned that friends are one of the most important

gifts of life.
