Buddy Holly was born
September 7, 1936 and died
suddenly February 3rd, 1959.
Unbelievably his success was only over 18 months before he died, but his music
has lasted forever. Like Elvis I went to dances and bopped along to his
songs and heard is music on radio. I saw the stage show Buddy Holly is Sydney
and was just so hoping he was really there doing it.
his music was just magical. He met and married
Maria Elena Santiago
in 1958.
Aborad the plane that crashed that fateful day was
Ritchie Valens and J.P. Richardson, "The Big Bopper" light snow after a concert.
They would have all died on
impact. Maria Elena was now a widow and pregnant but she miscarried shortly
after Buddy died. |
